Ultimate Terrain Press Reviews

Ultimate Terrain Europe

The popular gaming site Boomtown.net reviews UT Europe and gives it a 9/10 score!

[..]Ultimate Terrain Europe is the finest add-on I've used for Flight Simulator 2004. What it adds to the experience of flight over Western Europe is atmosphere. The world now looks detailed and populated and at night it looks alive thanks to the gorgeous night lighting system. UTE is great for vanity flights should you want to fly over areas you know very well. As far as value for money goes, this is perhaps the most bang for my bucks in gaming for quite a while. Scenery Solutions has put an awful lot of love into UT Europe and it shows. An essential purchase for anyone who enjoys FS2004 in European skies. [..]

FSRunway.it reviews UT Europe (in Italian) and awards it with 4 1/2 out of 5 stars!

Ultimate Terrain USA

Andrew Herd of Flightsim.com reviews UT USA.

[..] Having Ultimate Terrain USA installed made the flight a much more enjoyable and realistic experience than it would have been had I had to suffer the default road and river set. Thanks to the more accurate placement of water in UT, flights in the mountains are a real pleasure, because the rivers and lakes follow believable courses most of the time. You can follow roads using a sectional and all of a sudden it becomes possible to use waterways to fix your position, so the add-on takes Flight Simulator a step closer to the holy grail of VFR navigation.[..]

Steve Chappel, of AVSim.com explains how scenery is constructed in FS, and how Ultimate Terrain works together with other terrain add-ons such as BirdsEyeView's texture pack and the FSGenesis mesh.

Ultimate Terrain Canada & Alaska

Gene Davis of FsimCafe.com reviews UT Canada & Alaska and Flight Environment.

[..]In the default area of Valdez there is no land class textures, just one road leading to the airport. With UT, you now have an accurately mapped city and all of the roads are visible from the air. I decided to take a dusk flight and fly out over the bay and away from Valdez, as the sun dropped the city lights became stronger. Flying out about 40 miles and bringing the plane back around I could just make out the faint lights of the city. An almost eerie glow, you know the ones! Flying up the bay, you could make out the dark outlines of the mountains to my right and left, but ahead of me were the distant lights of Valdez. Nearing the city, I could make out traffic and city lights. Lights like I'd never seen before in MSFS, lights that looked so real one almost forgets they are flying their home computer.[..]
